Iron Front: Liberation 44, developed by X1 Software is essentially a military sim set during the time of World War II. The game includes the Arma II engine and hence, is a treat for all. The game may seem to have a resemblance with games like Red Orchestra or The call of Duty Series, but is a little too different. It is a slow-paced tactics stimulation and is not for someone who is looking for an outright kill/death action or people who take hours to position a tank.
Iron Front: Liberation 44 has two single layer campaigns, couple of interesting standalone missions, a multiplayer mode, a map editor, tons of accurate guns, realistic tanks, vehicles, airplanes and a giant map of Poland to run around. There’s a campaign for German side and Russian side both of which are quite interesting. Players play the role of an everyday soldier who has to complete the mission. A player is given a series of goals to complete on the game’s giant map and each campaign takes about 6-10 hours to finish. Once a mission is finished, it can be revisited anytime from the main menu.

Iron Front: Liberation 44 is like an RTS game rather than a straight shooter, where the tanks and shooters can be directed and controlled. The game has challenging and interesting situations. It has a huge player cap and the biggest matches can have 100+ players in them. So it can be pretty entertaining. The map is detailed besides being huge and expansive. The map editor is the same as the one in Arma II. It recreates the world of WWII and provides an exciting experience for the WWII gaming fans.
