I have three brand new Surface 3 Pro tablets. I have about 30 of these already in use. I imaged them with our standard (updated) Surface 3 image (specific to the Surface 3) but the wireless adapter shows up as a hidden device only. It does not work (obviously). There are several other hidden devices. No amount of Windows Updates, Surface updates, etc. gets these devices back for use. Has anyone else seen this problem and have a solution?
Here in this article, we will be showing you how to update Marvell Avastar Wireless-AC Network Controller driver to fix the network error on your Surface. Working specifically with the Marvell AVASTAR wireless-AC Network Controller, I could see it as a 'hidden' device in device manager. After adding a 'legacy' device to device manager, I finally get it showing up as a non-hidden device. However, it still has an exclamation mark. Efforts to load the driver (latest download from MS) fail.
I do get a hint as I right click on the device and select properties and get the following message:
This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

I've looked this up and read several tech notes and forum discussions, but no resolution. Most examples are for CD/DVD drive (which appears to be a common generator of this error message) but they are not helpful with this specific problem.
